About This Issue
This issue of GOBROAD Healthcare Group's biweekly newsletter covers the period from September 5 to September 22, 2026. It gathers seven updates from across the group's hospitals and research programs, together with two additional highlights from the annual meeting season, and closes with the group's Mid-Autumn Festival greeting.

01. From High-Risk Leukemia to One Year Post-Transplant: She Embraces "Rebirth" at GOBROAD
Mrs. Zhang was diagnosed with high-risk acute myeloid leukemia (AML), complicated by myeloid sarcoma and central nervous system leukemia. Her condition was critical. At GOBROAD, an expert team developed a treatment plan involving haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from a related donor. Artem (pseudonym) was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and experienced multiple relapses. He later developed central nervous system leukemia, which led to loss of vision in his left eye and paralysis of both lower limbs. After receiving CD19 CAR-T therapy at GOBROAD, he has now been in complete remission for two years, with stable follow-up results, and has regained greater confidence and the possibility of returning to everyday life.

03. Prof. Jin Li Leads Delegation to KSMO 2026, Promoting Precision Oncology Collaboration in Asia
Prof. Jin Li of GOBROAD led a Chinese gastrointestinal oncology expert delegation to KSMO 2026, the Korean Society for Medical Oncology's annual meeting. During the meeting, the delegation visited Yonsei Cancer Center and held in-depth dialogues with experts from Japan and Korea, promoting multicenter clinical research and precision diagnosis-and-treatment collaboration to help more patients benefit.
04. Breaking Through the Challenges of CAR-T Therapy for Pediatric Solid Tumors: A GOBROAD Expert Contributes to New Treatment Strategies
A review co-authored by Prof. He Yuelin of GOBROAD was published in the international journal Experimental Hematology & Oncology. The review systematically summarizes key challenges and optimization strategies in CAR-T therapy for pediatric solid tumors, providing insights into the development of new treatment strategies for children with high-risk or relapsed/refractory solid tumors.
05. Another GOBROAD Voice on the International Academic Stage: Four Studies from Prof. Zhang Yajing's Team Selected for the 23rd International Myeloma Society Annual Meeting (IMS 2026)
The four studies focus on relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma, proposing lesion-based dynamic monitoring to guide sequential CAR-T target selection, and exploring more precise treatment strategies for patients with extramedullary disease and plasma cell leukemia. The four accepted abstracts (PA-498, PA-439, PA-278, PA-438) cover topics including tissue-defined antigen-immune axis evolution, serial antigen mapping to guide sequential CAR-T targeting, lesion-based antigen remapping, and multi-target CAR-T strategies for ultra-high-risk disease.
